At the Ferry House Inn we aim to create a homely atmosphere, where people can come to enjoy the countryside and waterside views, whilst enjoying a peaceful drink or a great meal.
We aim to use all locally produced ingredients as much as possible, and all our food is made fresh on site.

We already utilise a lot of Kent’s best produce, and we will be adding much more to our new menu's in 2012.  Expect to see a menu packed with the best local ingredients we can find, dishes using our home grown herbs, more great meats and old school desserts - whilst staying true to our ‘home cooking’ no fuss, just great food style!” Alex Burden, Proprietor

All the beef served here comes from our family’s farm at Eastchurch. We have been farming here since 1969 and currently have over 2000 cattle grazing the area. Our beef is matured for 28 days to
ensure it is the absolute best you can get. Despite our family farm growing considerably over the years, it is still very much a family affair; with our lamb coming from my Uncles farm at Detling.

All the game served at the Inn is from our family shoot on the Harty Estate. I shoot regularly and always prep the birds myself, so I am very proud of the quality of the game on our menus.

Our Christmas turkeys come from Pine Trees farm at Doddington in Sittingbourne.  Pine Trees Farm has been raising Christmas turkeys for the past 80 years, the quality is absolutely superb and we would not serve anything else in our restaurant.

The majority of our fish comes from Bluey Walpole our local fisherman. He brings us the catch of the day from the estuary, often delivered to the waters edge at the front of the Inn. You can’t get fresher than that! Bluey’s fish shop is very much a family business, with his daughter running the fishmongers, and his son out on the boat with him.

Mossy's garden plants in Sittingbourne supplies us with wonderful flowers and shrubs for our garden throughout the year.  They are situated just past Sainsbury's in Sittingbourne, near the pay & display car parks.
