Event Reviews...Christmas Party 2011 for Burden Brothers Agri Ltd...
"Thank you for all your hard work and preparation to make our evening a success. Everyone commented on how lovely the food was! As soon as we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and the place had a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was delicious and we were very well looked after” |
“If you are searching for a venue for your celebration - look no further.”
Reviewed 8 December 2011 In my opinion, The Ferry House Inn is THE best Venue in Kent! A massive thank you to Alex and his team for a fabulous 50th Birthday celebration, it really was an unforgettable night. A great venue, great hosts, and we had the most fantastic time. In surely, one of the most stunning waterside locations in Kent, you'll find the Ferry House Inn. As other reviewers have noted, the area is indeed beautiful. The Inn lies in a semi remote location with huge expansive views accross the water - for pure magic and romance, you'd find this spot hard to beat....................believe me. (or just take a look at the website) We hired 'the Barn' for a party for 50-60 people, but it's up to you - be it a Wedding, a special Lunch or Dinner - whatever your requirements rest assured Alex and his team will really put themselves out to make sure that your particular event will be the best ever. These days it's unusual to find a business that is willing and able to take such care and give such attention to detail In our case - here are just a few examples of what they did to make our party so special:- * Arranging a professional firework display which was truly awesome and spectacular. * Installing a glitter disco ball for us and allowing us to decorate the venue with our own over the top 70s 80s Disco theme. * Helping us to put up a huge board full of the Birthday girl's memorabillia and photos. * Organising a special dancefloor, plus Roulette and Black Jack tables in the bar. * Providing Kitcsh [but delicious] themed food > a 70s inspired buffet with all the trimmings - cheese and pineapple on sticks and later hot food like scampi, chicken, sausage and chips in 'newspaper' cones. * Keeping the fireworks a secret from the Birthday girl until the very last minute (a surprise with real WOW factor) Whether like we were, you're looking forward to the greatest party ever, or if you are in need of a night or two away from it all.................. or maybe you just want a simple bar meal and a pint of local Scrumpy - The Ferry House Inn has it all." More Reviews from Trip Advisor..."A group of 10 of us went to Murder at the Wake. From the moment you arrive you are part of the night, the charactures come over and immerse you in the goings on. Have never been to a Murder Mystery night before and was not overly enthusiastic but this was just superb. However lets not forget the bar and restauarant, the food was amazing, yes it is a bot more expensive than run of the mill pub food but this is far far more than run of the mill food. Locally sourced and some wonderful tastes and flavours. Cant wait to go back again and sample some more. Hard to find and off the beaten track but well worth a visit." "Attended first murder mystery experience and had a great time and a really good laugh with the group of people sat at our table. The Ferry House Inn is in an isolated but lovely setting overlooking the estuary which was made even better by the hot sunny evening. Apart from the food being top quality and staff helpful and friendly, the actors performing the play were very professional, mingling with the guests in character before dinner. As the murder was set in the fifties, it was very amusing pretending to have been in the war etc. and making things up to fit in with with the actors' characters and questions. I would highly recommend trying the Ferry House Inn, not only for the murder mystery evenings, but also for the menu and hospitality. Also if you'd like to stay overnight as we did, the accommodation is well appointed and comfortable with great views of the estuary, and fruit, cereals and full english breakfast in the morning." |
